I would suggest no, given the already packed memory of the Atmega 328P.

Re: Interesting test on alternative band trials
Robert, what inductance calcs were you using?
Personally, I have found that many of the calculators online are of no use for RF work.

Re: Where can I buy a case?
Any reason why the don't offer a case with the kit? Have you emailed them and asked them? This is a question that needs to be directed to a seller, or supplier. We cannot answer that question on behalf of a third-party. If I get the kit, where might I pick up a case. Any 3D-printing service availab...

Re: Hi Band build
What do we know so far about turns on the toroids for these bands so far? What about cap values is there any definite answers to what should be used? I haven't seen anyone publish any data for inductor/capacitor values for the high-band board as yet. I have the theoretical values sitting here on my...

Good idea with using the FFT of e.g. Audacity. I am just moving all data and applications from that Laptop to a new machine though. Maybe i do it if the new PC is ready to use. I think i will just post the question to that other Q&A thread, then the author's can say: You are right or you are wr...

Your connections to the ICSP header.
Never use the - F flag, if you were trying that too.

73 ! Thanks to everyone who participated in this device. I made it successfully (tr)uSDX and made several SOTA activations already.Works great ! But this OLED type is absolutely not readable on field operation .. not even in the shadows in my region. I made also devices with similar display. dmr-ho...

It is safe. It is a question of efficiency only (power out / power in).

Seems like you were expecting a Yaesu in a nice box with a thick manual for $100, rather than two PCBs and a bagful of components
PS: did you ever try to flash the bootloader via ICSP that was suggested to you on your other thread?

It is for this fear of mine in working on SMDs that I have chosen to take the 12 volts elsewhere, see photo.
Where have you tapped off the 12V to? I'm confused.

Documentation is a work in progress - please be patient. For now, the manual pages and youtube videos on DL2MANs account are what we have. As for the CQ message, it is intuitive. Play around with it, click the encoder, press the buttons. I'm sure you will work it out in under thirty seconds. As for ...

I'll check the components. It will take a very powerful magnifying glass. I do not hide that I do not feel comfortable working on SMD components, but I will try. Hallelujah. I don't like having a beta firmware Doesn't look like you have many other options ;) Don't worry about it being a beta version - it is stable. I have only ever used the beta versions.
