Re: Relay does not work

Hello OM, i wondered why you are asking is the SCL voltage of about 3,3V normal :) You should also study the schematic.... you will easily see it is okay. If your skills are not good enough to get this basic information out of the schematic, i would honestly suggest to go with the (tr)uSDX to anothe...

Hello OMs,

i know that the round ones have been much better on IC sockets compared to the rectangular ones.
The contact resistance was really lower and therefore i think this could also be so for our case here :)

Re: Problem on RX on all bands (5V on RX pin)?

Hello OM, yes at the RF pin, the 5V are there but also your very small RF signal.... I don't know if you maybe have a soldering problem at dds Si5351 or LT6231 op amp. Have a look at those ICs with magnifier glasses and reflow the pins if necessary. Hope you will find the reason why it doesn't recei...

Hello OM, it is a FDT86256, sounds strange if you talk about 86256, sounds more like an EEPROM :) Sorry but with your descriptions nobody can help you exactly.... I would resolder all pins of TCA9555PWR (or the equivalent multiplexer soldered on your PCB). Check the connection sockets of the two PCB...

Hello OM, if you input a sine wave in an SSB Modulator you will get a sine wave of your tuned tx qrg -fsine or +fsine depending on choosen side band. So what you explain for your (tr)uSDX signals always looking like CW eg. a sine wave.... that's what to expect! I don't understand what the ugly waves...

Hello OM, there are no real mods for (tr)uSDX, Manuel DL2MAN changed T2 windings and one can do this if she/he wants to do. It only improves the efficiency a little bit, due to lower heating in T2. Your LPF toroids have to be tuned after you used the standard windings found in your manual from Sunny...

Hello OM,

no LT6231 is always 5V. Jumper bridge was only inserted into cicuit for another op-amp which maybe needs 12V. We used LM4562 in uSDX using 12V.

Re: No audio - RX or TX

Hello Steve,

i think you are right, probably a fake chip without ADC....
If you can't hear anything from RX and no SSB in TX, eg. no SSB is calculated due to no audio signal input.
I would replace the Atmega328 from another supplier.... and check again to get it alive again :)

Re: Trusdx used dent or trade. Low $ how do I save $$$

Hello OM,

i think you should ask in your country, where do you live... USA?,
at a local Ham Radio Club. (tr)uSDX is a european trx from DL2MAN and PE1NNZ.
You know you need a Ham Radio license to use a transmitter like (tr)uSDX, haven't seen a callsign in your message.

Re: OLED I2C adress

Hello OM, 0x3C is the 7Bit address mode of 0x78 which is 8Bit Address mode (same address). In I2C the least significant Bit at the transmission is added to the normally 7Bit address, 0 there represents write and 1 represents read. So if the 0x78 write its pair is 0x79 read is identical to 0x3C in 7B...

One thing i forgot: If you try hearing/recording your own signal, take a dummyload on tx side, only a short piece of cable in the antenna connector (4mm "Bananenstecker" laboratory cable into SO239) or 60dB attenuator. Another possibility: Use a WebSDR like: http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:89...

Hello Joachim, the most important thing is to speak loud and very near to the microphone. Hello OM, if your signal is good attested by the qso partner and only higher frequencies are missing than everything is okay! Hello OM,

if it first was 5W and now it is 0,25W or so, there should be a damage at one or more PA FETs.
Have you measured current consumption at TX?
Maybe one FET is getting very hot now.
It could also be a bad contact of the connectors between the two PCBs now...

i suggest a reset, pressing tuning knob and than connect to power....
I think you have maybe a problem with TX drive or stored parameters in EEProm,
after a software update one needs to do a Reset as described.

Hello Peppone,

here we have it:
sorry but at your "BS170" Drain and Source is changed, the pinout is like a 2N7002!
So i think you have bought fake BS170s which are 2N7002 or other similar FETs.
