Can you use a dynamic mic with the radio?

You should be able to -- look at the circuit diagram for internal microphone. Classic Electret capsule with "phantom" bias voltage. You will need a blocking capacitor perhaps -- depends on how your dynamic microphone is wired up. I've used the generic MFJ desk mic on electret fitted radios, as it appears they have a blocking capacitor on the output. Best you check.

I've just seen a post by Carl, PS7PC on the uSDX Facebook group, suggesting a 600ohm mic and preamp.... I wonder if it might be relevant to the (tr)usdx as well?

IfI get time over the weekend, I might give it a try.
