CW Memory Question

How can characters be deleted from the CW memory? I have experimented but I cannot see how to do this.

Hello OM,

simply make a Space out of the characters to be deleted....

Thanks. I have tried that but of course a space is not quite the same as deleting a character.

Mine deleted a Space if it was more than one if i saved it...

I checked. Mine leaves the spaces in. Unfortunately I use lots of different callsigns so I need to change my message frequently.
