Expected power on hi bands

I'm pulling my hair out trying to squeeze the power o/p on my hi band build.

I can just reach 4 watts on 10m and 12m but cannot get much above 3 watts on the remaining bands.

Hello OM,

so what's the problem 3W or 4W?... 5W is too high in my view for the single FDT86256 FET.
I don't see it ;)
This is better for the FET and doesn't change your number of qsos.... leave it as you have it now.

As Chris correctly wrote, 3 or 4 Watts are enough to make qso and a watt is indifferent to have it more. I also have a hi bands card and I burned two fets before finding the correct calibration on 10 m especially. You need to check the current absorbed in transmission. I bring you my values, which I do not think are the best around, but at least I improved them in terms of current absorption, for example on 10 m before I absorbed 1A!! Danger. You need to calibrate the filters with a low power supply, I used 5V.

Final measurements

14MHz 0.58A 4.04W
18Mhz 0.63A 4.45W
21Mhz 0.73A 4.80W
24 MHz 0.77A 5W
28Mhz 0.71A 4.60W

Supply voltage 12.7V
Measurements performed on dummy load and power readings made on the oled, so with some errors for eccess.
