Updating firmware problem

I've downloaded the latest beta version 2.00x, I currently have 2.00i, have avrdude 7.0 loaded, followed the instructions on how to program the radio, and after several attempts, keeps giving me "not in sync" error , and after the 10 attempts, it tell me opening programmer "auduino" on port "com4" failed which is where the ch340 is assigned.
So any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

I found that the error was associated with a bad pc to radio connection. I changed cords and was successful in my update.
