Avrdudess and rig not talking

OK so.The radio arrived from Up Tech with out my call sign - my fault as I missed the email. Using 000000... I got my serial number, downloaded and installed the firmware with my call sign. I had full control of the rig in WSJT-X. It worked on receive for about 5 mins and then communication between the laptop and rig failed. The rig has thrown a hissy-fit and refuses to respond to the laptop. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything, I think. I don't know the version I installed but it had the Spectrum Analyser so the latest I suspect. The version is now says 2.00i which I think was the original version.

I'm totally at sea with this. Do I need to reinstall the bootloader or has anyone got an easier solution?

Sorted. The problem related to the setup of the data ans stop bits for the port.
