Lost signal mistery on 20 m [1.2 SWR / 85% effectivity / ~3.5 W]

Post by h3k »

The transmitter works perfect on 40 m band with my EFHW antenna.
Antenna has good matching on 20 m too with 1.2 SWR / 85% effectivity and ~3.5 W of power.
BUT: I do not hear myself on the air at all, checked on a few Web-SDRs around: I hear myself on 7 MHz and didn't on 14 MHz. Any ideas where is my signal lost?...

This is called "dead Zone".
You need to have a web SDR outside of that minimum "jump" distance.

I prefer the reverse beacon network or psk reporter - I not only get a confirmation of signal, but I see where it can be heard. And there are lots of reporting stations!
