CAT control is generating a ton of noise, is it normal?

As soon as I open WSJT I can hear a load noise start on the uSDX speaker. I confirmed it with an external radio which shows it on a waterfall. When CAT gets disabled noise goes away.

I've tried different USB cables to the uSDX, tried choked cabled with ferrets, nothing works. Is this a flaw of the radio?
