Hello all,
Ive been trying to use the windows driver to connect my trusdx to my Panosonic CF20 with just the micro usb cable. I have had no luck getting this to work with JS8call. It seems that I get connection to the trusdx with the driver but nothing pops up on COM8 in device manager. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Please be certain that your USB cable has data and not just power.

Hello. It does have data as well. Im using the same cables that work with my main pc. It seems to only have issues with the toughbook. The driver connects to the trusdx but the com port doesnt show up in js8call or any other software.

So you have done a lot of debugging already. You have verified that this device and cable combination works with a different PC. You have verified that this port on the pc that it won't connect to works with other full function devices.
You have plugged it directly into a port on the PC and not to a hub.
Were it me, I would look at devices in settings. One possibility is that the device is being added with a different com port number.
Another possibility is that it can't get through USB handshaking. There is a driver issue or some such.
If you are looking at the device tree where it shows com ports, and you plug in the USB, it should register the com port and the device should appear.
Or you can look at the USB section, and it will show you the device bus with all of the USB devices that are attached. If the device is recognized, it will still appear but it will show you an exception and there may even be info about the exception.
Good luck, 73s, let us know.
