Has anyone socketed the finals? If so, what did you use?

I haven't but I'd be excited to see this come as a more standardized modification for the (tr)USDX!

I found some pin sockets in my junk box like the ones used connecting the two boards. They look like they would work. The securely retain the BS170's. Another thought though, whenever I have replaced BS170's on other projects, I never reuse the cleaned holes. I just tack the BS170 leads to the top of the pads. This way I don't stress the pcb and if you need to replace them again, it is a lot easier.

Another good option is the module sold by QRP guys that contains balanced BS 170s and serves as a heat sink. They utilize header pins as well.
