QSK

Hi gang,
I have never been a fan of QSK. I have my other rigs set up to go into transmit at key closure, and stay there for about 1 sec after the last character. I have not been able to figure out how to make the TruSDX behave this way. Use VOX perhaps?
Any ideas?

Hi Bob, in the menu look for "Semi-QSK" and turn it to on. You can't modify the timing but it gives you about a second or so before going back to receive. As an aside, if you're using CAT control through the USB cable for digital modes you'll need to turn Semi-QSK off as it can sometimes mess things up (known bug).

FWIW I'm not a fan of QSK either, it's too distracting for me

jj,
I found that turning >off< the semi QSK as well as the AGC, along with switching to headpones from an amplified speaker, gave --much-- improved performance. Very happy with T/R switching and Rx audio now.
