Turn the radio off?

Hello,

How do I turn off the radio? Setting the volume to zero doesn't seem to do it.

I'm not sure what firmware version is in the radio. I bought it as a kit from NewDIYTech and they programmed it for me before they sent it. Is there a way to display the version number on the radio?

On the latest versions of firmware, the turn off feature was removed for more important features.
The turn off feature didn't really turned off the radio if i recall correctly. The battery was depleted next day or two.
To turn off you have to simply unplug the radio from VDC.
To check your version, use the menu. The last option shows you the version.
Don't forget that every radio has a small Frequency error depending on quality/brand Manufacturing tolerances of components.
There is an option in the menu to correct for those tolerances and bring your radio to exact frequency. Look at DL2MAN channel. There is a video showing the proces.

Thank you for the reminder. I've seen Manuel's video and it's very simple compared to some radios I've had to align. (I used to work in a ham radio repair shop. Some of those old PLL synthesizers were very touchy.) I adjusted my radio this morning, so I think I'm all set.
