Ext Power or USB - radio is dead.....

Version 1.0 of the Main board. Was using external battery back (14.61VDC) and USB cable for CAT control. Radio locked up in transmit mode so I removed the external power and USB. Radio no longer has any audio or display. The U2 (Vreg) is showing 5.00VDC on the output. Nothing is getting hot (indicating a short).

Any suggestions as to where to look?

Reset the rig by pressing and holding rotary encoder shaft while inserting power cable or USB.
If it works after that, you need to resore your settings like frequency calibration, RShunt Setting, Band Setup etc.

That had no response. I am showing L1 to be intact (5VDC on the output side of L1). All of the chips have 5VDC on their power pins.

So, out of a whim, I decided to try to re-program the unit. That fixed it.....
