Connection to FT8CN only lasts for a second with this beta version W.
Worked fine with beta version U

Hi Roman, Philip,
Yes, removed the display cleaup, probably making things too slow with FT8CN, nothing else in CAT was changed.
Can you letg me know if R2.00x is working again with FT8CN?

Hi.
Beta X still has the same problem with FT8CN.
Its disconnects after a second or so.

Hello Guido,
I can confirm too, that even disabling just Semi QSK in 2.00w helped with connection issue using FT8CN. I will flash version 2.00x later.
Clean-up of status bar with CAT is working in version 2.00w too, but it has some bad visual side effect. S-meter is visualy disapearing for a short moment. Please see the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RQuBCI ... sp=sharing
Thank you,
Roman

Dear development team,
the question again: Why is noise reduction feature deleted ? It was a good feature in disturbed ssb qso's
Only for having more memory and storage space for other things?
Must I now rest at firmware 2.00u if I need noise reduction feature?
I' m not happy with the decision deleting noise reduction.
Thanks for your answer.

Re: Feedback thread for Firmware 2.00v/w BETA
I completely disagree here, as you cannot speak for "anyone who knows CW", only for yourself. If you´re so annoyed by it, I suggest: just don´t look at the display. We needed to remove the menu item, as we ran out of space and CW decoder always on does not hurt.
I do know CW a little bit, but when I´m on a activation, it has happened, that I got distracted by bypassers and was happy to read in the display what I´ve missed.
ALso: Don´t forget, the (tr)uSDX is also for those who can do a little bit CW to add a little extra safety for their first QSOs and let alone, those who use the (tr)uSDX to practice CW.....

Thanks for your reply.
It was only a question because there were no information in the release notes.
Now i' m really happy about and thank you for your work and that you let the noise reduction an important part in the release train. Made a few qso's this evening with the latest 2.00x - an nr on at 1 and 2 - it works like a charm.
Really happy now - you made my day !!!!!!

Re: Feedback thread for Firmware 2.00v/w/x BETA
I'm not sure if my issue is my computer or latest TR-USDX firmware.
I had Catstreaming working on my PC with 2.00u but after updating to W and now X I can't get it to work.
The driver reports its okay but all I get is Red lines and cat error. I also get reboots randomly every few seconds. I tried 3 different trusdx all running 2.00X.
Thank you,
Randal

I'm kinda thinking it's a virtual com port issue but don't know where to look to troubleshoot.

Hey Randal,
These are my settings for WSJT-X v2.6.1 and my (tr)uSDX v2.00x. Seeing if these settings work in your setup may be something simple to try first.

Hi Gudo ann Manuel,
with firmware 2.00x I´m not able any more to send the CW memory.
The procedure has been changed?
Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi Carlo,
No, the procedure should be the same.
Make sure you are in CW mode, then in menu point on CW Message and press left button, then it should start sending.
Does that help?
I will be on travel for a few days but can have a look at it somewhere next week.

Re: Feedback thread for Firmware 2.00v/w/x BETA
Hello the team !
I receive the trusdx this week. I look for the video demo. I download the firmware 2.00x. However, I can see that no appear in the menu :
2.1 CW decoder
2.8 Practice
Plus, messages can be possible from 1 to 6.
Novice in CW, I found 2.1 and 2.8 very important. Normal 2.1 and 2.8 don't appear inthe menu?
Plus, is there somethings to parameter in AVRDUDESS before upload to trusdx?
Thanks by advance for your answers

Re: Feedback thread for Firmware 2.00v/w/x BETA
Features seem to come and go and sometimes return. Not definitely sure about the “x” version but…. the decode may be on all the time and it may be that the equivalent of practice mode may be achieved by just turning the drive all the way down to zero. And transmit mode again by turning the drive back up.

Re: Feedback thread for Firmware 2.00v/w/x BETA
How can I download 2.00v firmware? 2.00x is unstable for me and I prefer the feature set of 2.00v to u, w, and x, regardless.
Instability:
My Rev 1.0 board, previously running 2.00u, sometimes starts transmitting intermittently without command or reason. The first time it happened I did not have an antenna connected but I noticed the problem and I was able to pull the power line before my finals blew!
The period of the transmissions is around a second and duty cycle is unknown (haven't looked with my scope) but, when I connect my QRP Guys Tuning Indicator (SWR bridge) to my (tr)uSDX, the Tuning Indicator LED flashes brightly and heavily. The (tr)uSDX OLED also flashes on and off with a mostly unreadable screen after the fault occurs.
I never saw this behavior in dozens if not hundreds of hours of 2.00u operation.
Again and regardless, I would like to try 2.00v next but I will try alpha firmware, if beta 2.00v is no longer available. That would be unfortunate but it would also motivate me to archive a library of all firmware files in the future!

Re: Feedback thread for Firmware 2.00v/w/x BETA
Update:
Since flashing 2.00x my (tr)uSDX no longer functions. It doesn't matter which FW I flash. It boots but there are all kinds of corruption to menus, display and the frequencies are all off, etc. Sometmes it transmits, sometimes not. I've tried flashing several times and resetting with power cycling. Is there some other type of reset I should try?
It's not usable at all. It's broken.

I've had this issue before. It fixed its self by factory resetting the radio. You do this by holding the rotary encoder pushed in while supplying power to the radio.calinb wrote: ↑06 Nov 2023, 22:36 Update:

Re: Feedback thread for Firmware 2.00v/w/x BETA
Thanks, Chip! That was the fix.
I think I'll do that after any FW re-programming. It's not that hard to re-enter a few menu items afterwards.
After my (tr)uSDX was up and running again, I decided to flash alpha FW and try to get CAT audio working, which has never worked for me on Linux or Windows. Somehow, I unexpectedly and unexplainably blew my finals (and still never got CAT audio working because CAT PTT never worked).
It wasn't that big of a deal because I socketed my BS170s when I assembled the main board and I have plenty of spare FETs but maybe I'll stick with 2.00u, given that I've had good luck with it using audio cables!
Thanks again,

Great to hear that it worked. Im pretty new to this radio and surprisingly still haven't blown my finals because I use no sort of tuner.
