Low power output on pre assembled unit

Post by texan »

Hello!

I recently received a pre assembled unit from the web store (new diy tech). I am seeing ~.5w output via 5v usb on 40m upper side band. Tried running a battery today, unit shows 13.0v on transmit at ~1.8w. Is this normal?

1.8W is not normal.
Check Board setting, if you've bought Classic and it's set to Lo or Hi bands then this might be the case.

Sorry, not aware of how to check this and don't see anything about it in the manual. How do I check this setting?

The website I purchased from [newdiytech](https://newdiytech.com/products/trusdx- ... and-dl2man) says they are selling the `[LO]` version. My board says 1.0. In the menu 8.7 is set to `LO`

Hello OM,

please measure with a power meter or with an oscilloscope at a dummyload, maybe there is something with the power measurement.
I can conclude this because you measured 0.5W @ 5V so you should get 2W @ 10V and 3.3W at 13V....
