Hello, this is my attempt to make the trusdx into a very portable handheld radio. Loading coil support printed in pla+ and the mod to the case as well. Still need to fit 10mm brass insert onto the case for the whip. Total length of telescopic whip is 2.5m. It will have an aligator clip jump lead to be able to tune for frequency. Will add a connector for ground to add a long counterpoise when needed. Battery is 3x18650 case bought from aliexpress, it has bms and input for charging and output.

How do you get the finish so smooth? Vapor smoothing? All 3D printing I have seen (other than resin printing) has very visible lines.

The lines are still there, my printer is actually a very cheap chinese creality ender 3 v2 and the filament esun brand from amazon. I guess it's just a bit of trial and error to get it right.

I just bought a Prusa MK3S+ kit and Prusament filament. Have not gotten started on it (or 5) (tr)uSDX's) as I have been away from home.
