Please, help me (tr)uSDX doesn't work

Hi, I'm a complete beginner.
I bought from the official source (tr)uSDX. Unfortunately, after connecting it, it is simply impossible to find any station to listen to. I don't know anymore, either it's factory set incorrectly or there's something wrong with it. How to make sure? I connected different antennas and always the same - nothing .
Additionally, I cannot access all menus. First it's 1.1, then 1.2 and then 1.8.
Please help, thank you in advance for your advice.

Try to set menu setting 1.1 to higher values, its sound volume. Also you can increase it by pressing knob and rotating...Do you at least hear noise sound?
Also try to connect headphones, maybe something wrong with speaker.

When you change the frequency, there is also a variable noise. But he doesn't take anything away.

Hello. A good first step may be to check out the DL2MAN video in YouTube covering the (tr)uSDX menu options. It's sort of an intro video so you may find it interesting. BTW note that depending on the version of firmware that you have on your (tr)uSDX some menu options will or will not be displayed.

Also, and this may be the thing to do first, is to update your CallSign in your new (tr)uSDX. This gets your feet wet regarding the transceiver. There are multiple videos in YouTube on how to do this; however, these are some i made that may be helpful to you.

don't try to change unnecessary things as "Quantumradio" (sorry: a silly name) proposed you, e,g. changing your call sign, until you know your (tr)uSDX works as it should. Changing your callsign is playing but has nothing to do with a working (tr)uSDX....

Which Version have you bought: Lo, classic or high band?
If you look in the menue and adjust it at item 8.7 to the right band version.
That's the only thing to do to get it working in receive.
Have a look at 40m is every time day/night a good choice with a few meters of wire 7m to 10m you must be able to find a cw station in the lower part of the band or at ft8 frequency the ft8ers.

I bought Lo (in the description I now read:

But in menu 8.7 I can Lo, classic or high band, i.e. all 3 versions - but does it work after changing it?
Recently I bought the original "QRPGuys Portable No Tune End Fed Half Wave Antenna", I connected the 20m band cable and... nothing.
But as you advise, tomorrow I will cut the appropriate cable and try to catch something on the 40m band

You let the software know which RF board you have, lo classic or hi, by making the correct selection in menu 8.7 It can’t figure it out on its own, you have to tell it.
The the actual RF board in use, and the board selected in the menu, have to match for the radio to work correctly.
For transmit you also have to set the “PA bias max” correctly.
The lo RF board uses 3 BS170s with PA bias max of 128.
The classic and hi boards use one FDT86256 with a PA bias max of 160.

I'm not sure what you mean by unlock menus, but option
1.3 is a filter setting
1.4 is band selection
1.5 is tune rate
1.6 VFO
1.7 RIT

But to change any of the setting you press main VFO knob and then turn to select desired option.
To finish you press ENTER button.

By skipping one by one, I have in the menu:

1.8
1.12
1.13
next:
2.4 to 2.8
then 3.1 to 3.4
4.1 to 4.7
Without 8.1 and beyond:
8.2
8.3 and another break until
8.6
8.7
and next group:
9.7
And these are all the menu items.

Nie, chodzi mi o to, że w moim menu NIE ma pozycji od 1.3 do 1.7.
Przeskkując po kolei mam w menu:
1.1;
1.2;
1.8;
1.12
1.13
następnie:

Bez 8.1 i dalej:

8.3 i znów przerwa do

Hello OM Przemek,

there are many missing menue points, this is normally now.
On the Manual page it is not up to date with the newest version!
As i said before, for your band version, switch at menue 8.7 to LO,
for TX there should be standard value 128 in Menue 8.1 TX bias. (would be 160 for classic or high band)
There is nothing more to be done to get all fully working if you bought a full built (tr)uSDX!
Don't forget: best is using headphones and Volume must be adjusted....

If it doesn't receive on 7Mhz 40m with a wire Antenna 7m to 10m in the evening than ask at the seller for a replacement or what you should do now.
We will help you here but a new bought ready built (tr)uSDX has to work or....
