Avrdudess 2.15 Programmer changes

I just downloaded Avrdudess and it is version 2.15 avdude 7.2

. When I followed the firmware instructions, the Programmer shows several variants of Arduino, but not just "Arduino" as shown in the instructions that uses version 7.0. Which is the appropriate variant in Version 7.2 to choose when installing firmware?

I am in the same situation. More than that doesn't matter what option you are using, it will not write it.

Version 2.14 with the Programmer of "Arduino" is available here:

I thought this would take care of things but it doesn't seem to flash the firmware, despite using 2.14 and following the instructions carefully. Avrdudess just blinks and appears to do nothing, including no terminal window.

Rebooted, changed Com port and flashed as expected.
Sorry for the rambling, hopefully this helps somebody.

For Avrdudess V2.15, use Arduino for bootloader using STK500 v1 protocol.

Had to dig into the Avrdude 7.2 notes to find this.

First firmware upload to my new (tr)uSDX went perfectly and the display showed my call and the current frequency.

Is this what I would use to install my callsign on my new assembled (tr)uxds, It doesn't have just the "arduino" programmer. I'm new to this and not very computer savvy.

Hello OM,

no please use the older still available Version 2.14 of AVRdudess as DL2MAN said and shows in all documentaries!

Hello everyone from a new member.

I am so pleased I found this thread.

I was having the same issue where I was using Avrdudess 2.17 and after uninstalling that version and downloading and running the older 2.14 version, my display now shows my callsign.
