I get sync error as reported by others but no suggested solutions. I get same error on each of my 3 uSDX (I lost SN on one, loading all zero as suggested by dl2man, same result.) I have latest version of avrdudess. Help!

Re: Sync error loading via USB
Hello ,
Can you detail the 'device' that your connecting to ? A PC , I assume? That is all I can speak to.
I am going to assume there is other software conflicting within the Windows PC.
what com port are you trying to use?
How many com ports are there?
Between the the app / driver and Windows there is a place you may need to learn about.
Does the radio connect to FT8 software on the same PC?
Are there other Radios installed or connected to the same PC?
I dont want to waste your time here if you are using Mac, Unix, etc...
I will be pulling info from other posts I have left here if 'ing you're using Windows.
There is a software tool to assist in seeing what is happening and a reg hack or two to move ahead

Re: Sync error loading via USB
I am using Windows 10 with all updates. Settings reports USB-Serial CH340 (com4). No other USB or serial devices in use. avrdude configuration matches that shown by dl2man. I don't do ft8. Avrdudess reads the input file fine, but hiccups with those errors (sync) when it tries to write. I downloaded the software for the known SN and for SN 0000000000000000 without problem. get the same errors with all three radios. What is the sync error? Help greatly appreciated. I am recovering from heart surgery during which I seem to have lost a lot of memory. hihi!

Eurika! I reloaded and reconfigured avrdudess and EVERYTHING updated to version x flawlessly. I was also able to match each radio to its SN. Many thanks for help.

Re: Sync error loading via USB
Just wanted to share my experience, Very similar to this post. Hours spent fiddling, 10 different cables. All manner of settings tweaking. Gave up. Next day I tried a different laptop and it worked first time with default settings described in the (tr)uSDX firmware doc. (Beta FW build rocks
