Hello DJ0TK,

what do you mean "not available"? All parts will be purchased, however those not available at JLCPCB will not be soldered.

Group Buy #2 CURRENT STATUS:
There are 43 kits ordered. So there is room for 7 more kits to order. So if any of you still want to order please do this week.
I will sent email to all who ordered, with my financial information by this week.

Dear Group #2!

Registering is completed!

List of call signs for group #2 is bellow.

I planned to send you financial information this week but one issue occured:
Marcus who was so nice to print out enclosures for group #1 has broken 3D printer and cannot print for group #2.

So, QUESTION to all of you, is anybody who can print all or some of 35 enclosures which are requested in group #2? if so, please let me know ASAP.

Once the enclosure topic is resolved I will start ordering and collecting cash.

Have a good weekend,
73,
Adam SN3AK

Hi Adam, i don't have an 3D Printer, but Manuel have an information on his website, that if we don't have an 3D printer, we can find someone who can print us something on that website: https://www.prusaprinters.org/world

Maybe it will help.

Hi Adam,

I would take my order without enclosures. Thank you for your effort and making group buy possible! 73

edit: a friend of mine has a 3d printer and can print enclosures for 35PLN/set with cheap shipping via olx, if you want I can pass you his contact data. In my opinion it is still cheap despite it's about 7€, but includes shipping in Poland.

Hi,

Ive ordered my red housing, from Matej:

https://www.craftrum.eu/

He's done excellent job , see pics.
1-min.jpg
1-min.jpg (238.73 KiB) Viewed 8015 times
2-min.jpg
2-min.jpg (218.07 KiB) Viewed 8015 times
3-min.jpg
3-min.jpg (225.9 KiB) Viewed 8015 times
Pricing was also OK for me, although Ive ordered couple of front panels extra :-) :-) :-)

Ive ordered as custom 3D print:

Printer:NORMAL DETAIL: 0.15mm layer height
Infill: 20%
Material:PETG - Red
Coating:New Coating

1) Filename: bottom_cover.stl €1.00
2) Filename: left_wall.stl €1.00
3) Filename: lower_wall.stl €1.33
4) Filename: right_wall.stl €1.00
5) Filename: rotary_knob.stl €1.00
6) Filename: speaker-carrier.stl €1.00
7) Filename: top-cover-new_style_oled.stl €1.00
8) Filename: upper_wall.stl €1.32

----------------------------------------------------------------
Total - parts: €8.65
Adding my callsign on top cover: €3.00

He has different shipping options, Ive chosen the fastest one, GLS, 1 day delivery:

Shipping - GLS 1 day: €5.90

TOTAL COST: €17.55

Definitely unit price per enclosure, for 35 enclosures batch, will be lower from €8.65, right ?

Dear All,

9A5MPV - thanks for sharing contact to Madej. I already send query to them.
I already send queries to a few commercial 3D printing companies - the cheapest of them was ~11EUR per enclosure but they declare printing in 3 days.

If you have some other companies/people who can do 3D printing for reasonable price please share here or on my priv email.

There was some question if new orders for group II are possible - unfortunately not, group II is FULL.

I don´t think, this is a very good print.
Look at the rough surface and the visibility of the Infill Pattern on the Top Layer.
The missing Material between the Border-Lines and Surface Filling.
The smeer in the Lettering.
It´s like they took no pride in their work.
I charge 15€ per Case, but that´s because stuff like in the above picture goes straight into trash bin.

This quality is OK on Amateur Level, when your neighbors son does it for you, because he also has a printer in his bedroom, that he used one or 2 times.
But for a "professional" company, that offers printing service, this has plenty of room for improvement.
Just compare it to the pics on their homepage.... This is how it should look like.

But the price is OK, so I guess it is true: You get what you pay for ;)

I guess Matej can be asked for better quality output.
I dont know anything what should be looked at, and for what money level.

So would be good that someone who knows this stuff, put here generic request template, when asking for housing quote.

/ Vlado

When Ive ordered case from him, I did ask for recommended printing setup:

Printer: Normal
Material: PETG
Detail: 0.15mm layer height
Infill: 20%

Dear Group #2,

Status update:
I just received: "Thank you for your order from JLCPCB. It’s our pleasure serving you. We are pleased to inform you that the items listed below have been packaged and are waiting for pick up by shipment company"
Dear Colleagues, please make the payment if you have not done yet - I am still awaiting for dozen money transfers.

Regarding enclosures, I am still checking possible options, but so far I received options which are either too expensive, or made from different material than PETG, different colors(white). So, I am going to order at https://www.craftrum.eu/ (see pictures a few messages above). If any of you do not want such enclosure please let me know till this Friday (13th May).

Regarding Group III, I do not want to start next group until completed Group II order. I will ping you once it is done. Also, if anybody from Group II resign, I will contact you directly.

Dear Group #2,

Two updates:
1) I asked Craftrum company to improve quality of the prints. They suggested to use smaller diameter heads, and print in 2 colors (like original enclusure on Manuel site) The enclosure cost will be higher by 1EUR.

So please send me 1EUR on the same paypal/bank account as previously

2) PCBs are already arrived. I will start sending them from next week (I am on short vacations this week)
