I have one of the original first 50 uSDX 8 band sandwich semi-kit direct from Manuel, DL2MAN from late 2020/early 2021.

The only modification I did to mine was to add onboard audio

It is built and working and I wonder if it is OK (or possible) to use the newer (tr)uSDX firmware(s) on this original build?

Hi Nigel,

(tr)uSDX Software requires a certain Hardware present to fully function. uSDX Sandwich does not have the Current and SWR measurement stuff, and the Band Switching Layout is different. While it might work to some degree, it will be most likely no joy to use it practically.

Is tahat possible to make any changess in "sandwich" (i received preassembled from Manuel) to use new software? (even if i have to make it singlebander) .
