With the OLED Mod, we DISABLE the part of the Circuit, that is responsible for those specs.
And we can discuss another 2 Days about it, but I´ve seen them die from over-voltage:
So back to my initial statement: You can do whatever you like, but don´t publicly recommend it, please.

ok Manuel understood, I still didn't know that the mod disabled that part of the circuit which would support the 15v, is 9v still safe or can't go beyond 8v ???? 9v regulators are much easier to find at local stores.

Guys, for those who are interested in studying the Oled SSD1306 deeper, for those who know how to find a safe way to use it with more voltage, I will leave a link to the complete datasheet of the oled, browsing through the datasheet, I found some interesting things, if someone more knowledgeable with electronics can do it better understand how it works

datasheet link - https://datasheethub.com/wp-content/upl ... SD1306.pdf

From what I understand the charge pump serves to raise a low voltage when used by batteries for example up to 7.5v and that it can be disabled by software, Manuel I'm sorry in no way I'm saying that you are wrong your knowledge in electronics is very higher than mine, but a doubt arose if the load pump which the function would raise the voltage to 7.5v if this is disabled now this voltage will not be able to go up to the 15v mentioned in the datasheet ???

In the first image there is a calculation if I am not mistaken, it is current and in the formula it has VCC12V if anyone knows what this formula means, in the second image talking about the charge pump.

So is it not really a 9 volt charge pump but really only a 7.5 volt charge pump?

In the following images, one of the images is being made in an assembly where the formula uses VCC 7.5v voltage and in the other assembly that is different without some capacitors, the calculation is done using the VCC 12v voltage

Re: OLED Display

Let's go what I understood so far is that yes the oled works with 12V but to use it safely I would have to redesign the circuit, then I would have 2 options, calculate new values for the components or completely disable the charge pump that has the function of raising the 5v to 7.5v which is the minimum value that the display needs to work and connecting it to 12v isolating it completely from the circuit that feeds the controller, these commercial oled boards were developed for use with a 5v power supply which is generally standard on Arduino and ESP32 so they had to create the charge pump to raise the display voltage to 7.5v i.e. the components were calculated for this minimum voltage of 7.5v to use in addition to that they would have to find new values for the components . However, I return to the initial doubt. Does the OLED MOD no longer disable the charge pump circuit and takes the voltage of 8v, 9v, or 12v directly to power only the display, isolating it from the rest of the circuit?: ideal would be to disassemble an OLED and take measurements to see where the 12v will go.

Through a stupid mistake, I ruined my OLED display, but I had one left over from another project that actually looks better than the original:

It takes the same changes as the original OLED (i.e., remove C3, C4 and jumper).
