Fired up my nice new assembled (tr)uSDR today. I want to try CAT commands. I plugged in a known good USB data cable. The USB port can be powered by the PC, of course, but I used my regular supply. I took a look at the PC (W10) Device Manager. The Device Manager "sees" the uSDR, but identifies it as "unknown serial device." I would submit that this is a classic device driver problem. Automatic search for a device driver draws a blank. Does anybody know how to address this? Lack of CAT commands are not a deal breaker, as for digital modes (not tried yet, but I have my sound card dongle and cables in hand), I can easily set the frequency and USB by hand.

Re: CAT commands
Found the answer -- person on FB page suggest locating the CH341 driver. W10 now sees a legitimate serial port. Now to fire up HRD/DM780.

Re: CAT commands
CAT, in my opinion, is not good for little, it should be removed and put in other more important things,

Re: CAT commands
For people working digital modes it's a big deal. It's one the (many) things I like about this rig.
