before adjusting coils do we calibrate the nanovna

I am about to use my brand new nano vna to check the filters on my tr usdx. I see on various videos that the nano vna is calibrated with open/short/load before using it for SWR checks of antennas.
I have watched DL2MAN's video 20 times about tuning/checking the filters but he doesn't mention anything about calibration. I am guessing he suspects most know how to use the vna but I never saw one until today.
Can someone briefly explain if I need special calibration before checking the filters? And if so, which calibration steps are required.
Thanks you.
(I have sooo much to learn)

Hi Nameless guy,

Yes, you need full solt calibration for the frequency range you're using, before tuning the filters.
While SOLT stands for
Short
Open
Load
Through

Search for SOLT Calibration NanoVNA and you'll find plenty of videos explaining the how and why.
