On two of my (tr)uSDX I have flashed the bootloader via ISP but I cannot flash the firmware vis USB. Before trying all the solutions recommended in this forum I have one question that I didn`t find already answered.
My (tr)uSDX show the following behaviour: Every time I power them up a different serial number is displayed. Is this normal or should there be a fixed serial number after flashing the bootloader?
Thanks and best regards

Re: Ever changing serial number
I had a serial number that kept changing and it was the result of a bad bootloader installation. I ended up having to use a USBasp programmer to get the firmware loaded correctly.

Thanks for the information. I'll try to reflash the bootloader.

Re: Ever changing serial number
Ever changing Serial Numbers are a sign of wrong fuses.
Make sure, while burning bootloader, to have the Fuses set to the correct Values.
Check Screenshots on Bootloader Page for Details.

Re: Ever changing serial number
Thanks, reflashing the bootloader (with special attention to the fuse settings) solved the issue.
Though I cannot say by now whether I used wrong fuse settings in the first attempt, the chances for this are high.
Best regards
