Question ab CQ MESSAGE

after many attempts I have not yet been able to guess how to activate the CQ message so please ask if someone could give me instructions on the subject.

Ok I had already figured out how to start it but ...
--the CQ INTERVAL appears to be in seconds so what is the point of inserting 1s for example?
-I tried to enter 60 and it continuously transmits with no gap.
-If I change the text it emits once and then stop.
Since the receiver has broken down, I would like to use this Qrp as a Beacon at least, but currently this is also forbidden for me ...

I changed the text and it works ok but up to 32s, more than that it just repeats with no gap.
If you put 0, it does not repeat.
I used it for cq in the contest and it works nice.
But if you want to use it as a radiofar, 32s may be enough?

Hi, please try adding some text without leading "CQ".
32s would make the Beacon appear boring and source of QRM, it would be functional to be able to set a few minutes.

Again I would like to point out that menu item 4.1 "Cq interval" should set the time between two message starts and not the time between the end of one and the beginning of the next.

You are right, it does not repeat if there is not a CQ at the beginning…
I only used it as it was meant to be and never hit any problems.
Is it a bug or a feature?
For this problem i think Guido is a person to talk to. Also i think adding a longer time should be possible. Probably few minutes would make sense yes.
Try to leave a message for in the developers section of the forum.

This maybe makes sense for some other use.
For classic cq or cq test it is perfect now, because you need to set rx time between 2 cq messages. Also contest log software works this way.

Thanks for your feedback on this topic.

Please try the changes in beta version 2.00m (see bottom download page).

Here, the CW message is always sent, even when it does not start with CQ.
The beacon interval is now increased to about 4.5 minutes (255 seconds).

Let me know if this suits your needs.

I believe it widens the possible use of it, like fox hunting transmitter, far...
