Hi all. I am getting excited to start on the US Group buy's kit. While I wait, I wanted to sort out the inputs and outputs.
1) I understand the voltage input is to be ~12v via barrel connector (3.5mm) in order to get somewhere around 5W to the antenna. What amperage should I allow for? I'd guess less than 2 amps, but would like to hear from people that "know" stuff.
2) I am contemplating purchasing this boost converter cord. https://www.amazon.com/Blind-SPOT-Adapt ... B08CCX5S96 as it outputs a max of 12v, 3amps. The plan would be to use a portable battery charger as the field power supply to the (tr)uSDX.
What says the forum on power input?
~12v, yes. But what amperage?

Overview:
Typically it draws 80mA on RX (with MS5351 – less with Si5351) and 500mA on TX @13,8V and typical 85% PA Efficiency.
