On/Off

Post by QRP6269 »

This may seem like a simple question, but I am wondering if my SDX is functioning OK. Just arrived from China and it's amazing. The only way I can switch the SDX on and off is to plug in and un plug the DC power connector. Is this correct or is there an on/off switch?

You can turn it off by reducing the volume to zero. After that, you can turn it on by pressing the Menu

No you can't switch it off by this...
Simply plug the plug or draw the plug ;)
....and yes it is not the headphone plug :)

I found the 'turn the volume down' in a video. It works. I was pulling the plug like the one fellow but figured it there was a softer shutdown I would use it.

Which version do you have that behaves like this?

Problem with the Volume down method is if you hit any button or the dial/switch it all turns back on.

Yes, is possible...
Lower the volume to zero and press [Menu] (I don't remember if long or short)

No not really,

there is still a current consumption, all components are still connected to 5V/3,3V.
There is no FET switch in the (tr)uSDX, have a look at the schematics!
You will draw your battery slowly but steady until its empty ;)
