Hello all! I bought a pre-assembled radio from one of the trusted sellers on Amazon. My radio has a distinct squeal to it no matter what the settings are: volume, agc, vox, etc. When I first power up the radio, you can hear a squeal from the internal speaker. I thought maybe internal feedback, so I tried in-ear headphones. The squeal is still there. When I press any one of the four buttons, the squeal dips in frequency. It also dips with CW keying.

I bought a pre-assembled radio because I have huge fingers and soldering SMDs is VERY hard for me. I'm not afraid to hack away at it though! Where should I start?

I suggest
1. a reset (press and hold rotary button, while powering up)
2. re-Install Firmare
If both doesn´t help, I´d suggest to contact sunny for replacement.

Thanks Manuel. I'll give those both a try! Should I write down my frequency offset? Will it be lost in the reset?
