Interesting Microphone Part Mixup

Post by wa2t »

Hi Group,

As I went about procuring the needed parts for the (tr)uSDX, I bought the tiny onboard microphones from LCSC.com. But, I accidentally ordered them twice. Here's where it gets interesting. I ordered LCSC part number L233329 once (BOM specified part, -40dB sensitivity) https://datasheet.lcsc.com/lcsc/1912111 ... 233329.pdf, but I also ordered L233339 by accident the second time (wrong part, -60dB sensitivity) https://datasheet.lcsc.com/lcsc/2001132 ... 233339.pdf. LCSC part number similarity coincidence.

No big deal, cheap part, but wondering if possibly using the more sensitive mic would be of any benefit to the (tr)uSDX?

Hi Group,

Not really a troubleshooting post, more of a "questions for the designers" sort of post, could the mods move the post there?

Thanks and 73,

Well, I would not bother trying it, but I have no practical nor theoretical advise for you.
The mic´s I´ve selected were always tested before. Once tested ad found good, I´ve published it.
So: Let us know how it goes for you....

Hi Group,

I tried the previously mentioned mic I accidentally bought, total bust! It causes the "endless string of dah's" issue, even when installed correctly. So THAT, as they say, is the end of THAT!
