Okay, I modified enough settings that I am at a point where I need to verify ALL default settings. Would it be smarter to just update or reinstall firmware? Or, if anybody can reply with certainty, what was the default for menu 1.3 Filter BW ?

You can always reset to defaults.
Push and hold encoder during power up.
